So many choices.

Updated: Jan 26

Everyday we wake up we have so many choices and decisions to make. Those choices and decisions affect the people around us. It is human nature to mess up and be overwhelmed. So, how do you cope with the overwhelming choices the world offers? As cliche as it sounds, I pray. God says that if a man lacks wisdom, let him ask God. So the choices I choose to make not only affect me but it can have an impact on my spouse and my two beautiful children. My choices represents me. But the biggest thing is my choices represent God. So why not ask the big guy upstairs for guidance?

Dont get me wrong there have plenty of times where I completely ignore the will of God for my own selfish wants and I've definitley regretted each time. The great thing is I've fallen, but each time I get back up, thanks to grace and mercy. In todays world we try so hard to portray a certain image. We subconsciously make choices based off of what others are doing and what others may think of us. Nine times out of ten those choices aren't the best. We have to be wise about the choices we make. One wrong choice can land us in prison or dead. Sounds pretty dramatic but the truth is the light. The enemy wants you to make bad choices because in actuality it pulls us away from the great things God has for us. So I leave you with some questions to ponder on, what choices will you make today? Will the choice you make lead you closer to the blessings of God or closer to the destruction of the enemy?

Scriptures to study.

“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”

‭‭James‬ ‭1:5‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:13-14‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭14:12‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:23‬ ‭NIV‬‬
